The Brief Ad Studio

The Brief's Ad Studio is an advanced editing environment for professional designers, offering a full suite of industry-standard creative tools. It provides extensive customization, animation controls, and advanced design features. In contrast, the Light Editor is for non-designers, focusing on quick content updates.

The Stage

The stage serves as the display and editing area for all creative sizes. For a single creative, it appears as a grey dotted area. When working with a design set, an additional section is visible below this dotted area.

Sizes are positioned on the top and bottom of the stage. Top sizes represent main layouts, serving as a reference for each orientation. Bottom sizes are general layouts, listed in columns under their corresponding main layout for square, vertical, and horizontal orientations. This column-based organization allows for easy adjustments across entire groups or similar layouts. All sizes, whether predefined or custom, are classified into square, vertical, and horizontal orientations.

The Header

Located at the top of your screen, the header provides access to various features, including file management, feedback forms, zoom controls, design preview, collaboration tools, and distribution options.File Management Functionalities

The header, positioned on the left, offers:

Burger menu: Create new designs or templates, make copies, utilize the ruler, and access undo/redo options.
Design name: Edit the name of your design.
Resize: Exclusively available when working on a single design.

Proofing and Distribution Options

These options, found on the right side of the header, include:

Preview and Comments: Provides a share link for an overview of your creative(s) and facilitates collaboration through comments.
Distribution and Export: Use the share function to distribute your creative(s) and select the appropriate file type for your export.
Ad Serving: Set up your ad-serving options.
Zoom Options: Adjust zoom settings using the dropdown menu or keyboard shortcuts.

The Left Sidebar

Your toolkit is the sidebar located on the left side of your screen, providing access to various functionalities to increase design complexity.

Add Content

Key Features:

Insert: Located on the top of the left sidebar, this provides access to text, media, graphic elements, buttons, and widgets.
Brand Kit: Offers convenient access to your brand assets.
Templates: An extensive selection of themed templates is available for customization.
Cloud Integration (Apps): Facilitates seamless connectivity with Google Drive, Dropbox, or Bynder accounts for asset upload and access.

Manage Layers and Slides

Layers: The layer list provides control, structure, and flexibility when designing single visuals or entire design sets. Every element added to the stage is accessible within the layer panel.
Slides: Enhance your creative's storytelling potential by incorporating multiple slides.

Animation Presets and Advanced Customization

Animate your ads using the Animator tab, where various animation presets are available. For a visual overview and customization of your design's layers and animation, use the Timeline tab, located at the bottom of the left sidebar. The Timeline is only accessible in Focus mode when working with a design set.

Manage sizes

From the Sizes tab, you can resize your layout and add or remove sizes from your set. This tab provides access to the complete library of preset sizes, allows you to create custom sizes, and enables the selection of entire size categories (e.g., Display) for easy generation of design sets.

Help

The Help tab offers various support resources, including an onboarding tour, help center access, keyboard shortcuts, and video tutorials.

The Properties Bar

Located on the right-hand side, the properties bar enables you to customize elements in your ad. Its contents vary based on the element selected on the stage, displaying all available properties for that specific layer type.

When working with multiple layouts, use the properties bar with the layout selector to simultaneously change element properties across all or selected layouts, significantly speeding up your workflow.
