Countdown Widget
Ad design is an art and science that requires careful consideration of various elements to influence the viewer's behavior. Two of the most crucial components in ad design are a sense of urgency and the fear of missing out (FOMO). In The Brief, you can bring these elements to life using the Countdown Widget. In this article, we'll show you how to add a custom widget to your creative.
How to Add a Countdown Widget
- Head over to the left sidebar and select Insert.
- Click on Widgets.
- Select Countdown.
- To make changes to the widget, head over to the Properties bar, and under Options, you can select the type of countdown you want to use:
- To date - Select the date from the dropdown menu, adjust the time, and choose the current timezone for your campaign.
- From number - Input the number from which you'd like the countdown to start.
- Additionally, you can make further adjustments from the Text section.
Note: We recommend using HTML5 as an export format, which works best with countdown timers. If you choose an MP4 format, the timer will stop just as the video ends.
Weather Effects
With the Weather Widget, you can tailor your ads and send a unique message that ultimately makes people pay attention and drives them to make a purchase.
Weather effects like fog, rain, and snow let you target your customers in real time and promote your product.
You can apply weather effects to your designs without having to code or manually add and animate many images one after the other to get the desired result.
How to Use Weather Effects
- Head over to the left sidebar and select Insert.
- Click on Widgets.
- Select Weather.
- To make changes to the widget, head over to the Properties bar, and under Options, you'll be able to make adjustments to it, such as switching between the available types of effects:
- Fog.
- Rain.
- Snow.
- Additionally, you can adjust the Size, Speed, Density, and Opacity.
Important: If you download your design in HTML5, the effect will appear in the media folder in PNG format.
